18 months

We have an 18 month old on our hands now.
Umm... they're crazy at this age.
Constant needed attention, super social, energy for hours crazy!
.
Ewan at 18 months...
-loves to color. Crayons, markers, paint, you name it.
-still sleeps with his boppy, bunny, and paci.
-flys around the house like an airplane. Complete with engine noises.
-is really good at animal noises. Lions and elephants are his specialty.
-loves bell peppers, cheese, and french fries. Takes after his mama. :)
.
-loves playing hide and seek. Can you see him hiding?
I know, he's really good.
.
-is learning how to ride a bike.
-loves to run. Far. Fast.
-thinks it's funny to take off his shirt by himself in public.
-can say "mama" and "dada". That's it. Baby sign has come in handy.
-is a confident dog walker.
-is eye teeth teething. 'Nough said. :)
-loves to grab your hand and lead you to what he wants.
-loves to laugh. Even if he has to fake laugh.
.
The best... his open mouth kisses.
I've tried to teach him to pucker.
But why mess with a good thing. :)

Love My...

...pool toys! Ewan loves the pool, especially with his toys.
When we don't make it to the big pool, we play "pool" at home during our nightly bathtime routine.
.

His farmer's tan is ridiculous!
.
Oh, the things we do for fun around here. :)

Love My Boppy & Bunny... Still.

I don't think Ewan will ever outgrow his best buds... Boppy and Bunny. These are pictures from the last couple weeks. He has loved them from the beginning and they still bring him the ultimate comfort, second to mommy of course...
I think... I hope. :)

Love this sweet, sleeping baby!

Love My Backyardigans

In the beginning, I was obsessed with making sure Ewan didn't watch TV. I worried about statistics of young TV watchers and didn't want him to end up any negative health or growth effects. But go figure, he is facinated by the bright flashing tube when it's on. I will preface by saying that I limit the time the TV is on during the day because it just becomes annoying background noise. However, just this month Ewan has shown a prefrence of a certain show you may (if you have kids) or may not have heard of called The Backyardigans. It was on TV one morning, and he loved it! It's super cute, with bright colors and catchy songs. His favorite part is the intro song and dance. We've never made it through a full 30 minute episode, but the excitement he gets for a quick 10 minutes is adorable. So, it has become part of our morning routine. The Backyardigans, channel 252, 9am. :)

Here he is catching an episode a few weeks ago...

Love My Horsey

Ewan loves his horsey that he got from Nana and Papa for Christmas. They wanted him to have one just like Jeff did when he was little. Below is baby Jeff with his "Winnie Horse". :)

Love My Bunny

Ewan has had an obsession with stuffed animals since day one. His favorite is his bunny. He cuddles with it every night, and he especially loves to cover his face with it to sleep.

Love Books!

I love books and have an extensive amount of classics that I have collected over the years. As soon as I found out we were having a baby, I started Ewan's own library of children's books right away! He has one full shelf of books already, thanks to all the wonderful titles he was given at the baby shower, and a big thanks to his Nana who picks up a new book for him every time she's out!
.
Jeff and I have started his collection of Dr. Seuss books with the 9 that are currently on his shelf. I have a goal to collect them all! So far he has: I Can Read With My Eyes Shut, Green Eggs and Ham, Because A Little Bug Went Ka-Choo, A Fish Out of Water, And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street, The Foot Book, Put Me In The Zoo, The Cat In The Hat, and his first Dr. Seuss book was Hop On Pop from his Auntie Bryann.
.
So, here's a not-so-subtle hint... If you're looking to get Ewan something for Christmas, a classic children's book is the perfect gift! You can join my adventure of collecting every Dr. Seuss book ever written, or Ewan has conveniently listed his wish list of books to the right.
.
To all all my fellow book lovers - happy collecting and happy reading!
