New baby!

Ewan is officially a cousin! And Jeff and I are so excited to be Uncle and Aunt... finally! Congratulations to Jonny and Ashley, proud parents of beautiful baby girl, Violet Anne Taft. Ashley was admitted to the hospital Sunday night and Violet was born Monday around 4pm, after hours of pushing and then a c-section. I got to peek and take pictures of Violet through the nursery window, but I will leave the picture posting to Ashley so she can be the one to officially introduce her daughter to everyone. Due to the c-section and visitor rules, I have yet to see Ashley or hold my niece! I can hardly wait to see the 3 of them!

It's really hard to capture the awesomeness of this on video so you have to go see it in person. The light flashes 18 times per second on the Toy Story figurines to create the illusion of live animation... waving, jumping, diving, galloping, parachuting, bouncing...

Honey Bunny

...one of the many nicknames I have for Ewan.

And funny story...

Last night, after Ewan fell asleep in his crib, I carefully pulled bunny out from under him and threw him in the washer, as I do every week or so. However, things didn't go as smoothly last night as they usual do. Ewan woke up an hour later, screaming, clawing to find bunny in the crib, in the dark. I ran to pat him back to sleep. No luck. No luck for over an hour!

I gave Ewan every other stuffed anumal we have in the house. Specifically ones that have the same type of fur as bunny trying to "pull one over" on him.

Nope. Didn't work.

.

By midnight, I finally handed him a soaking wet bunny, washed and clean mind you, but no time to dry. Ewan was relieved. And fell asleep within minutes. Made me think... WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO IF WE EVER LOSE BUNNY?!

But I can't think like that...

It will NEVER happen...

Eater

No more bland baby food for every meal. Ewan eats everything! When we went to Disneyland last week we got him a Jedi kid's lunch from Tomorrowland. And when I went to work on Monday, it was nice not to worry if I packed enough food, because he could pretty much eat anything on hand at my mom's house. He LOVES his diluted apple juice throughout the day. And his FAVORITE thing to eat is cheese, just like his mommy. Small pieces are the trick for his teeny baby teeth.
